Mah-Jonah, or ‘The Sparrows’, is a Chinese game dating back thousands of years. The object of the game is to get a complete hand of 14 pieces consisting of particular sets of three and two pieces, and shout ‘Mah-Jongg’ to finish the hand. A complete game is four rounds of four hands, however it is possible to cease playing at the end of any hand without spoiling the game, to keep the duration shorter.
